Your Guide to Convenience

CUSN Logo

Making your life easier is what shared branching is all about. Credit Unions from all 50 states offer their members more convenience by opening their doors to each other's members. These locations are known as Service Centers. While other financial institutions are in the business to make a profit and please stockholders, credit unions operate to serve their member owners.

If you belong to a participating credit union, you may access your accounts at any CU Service Center location. Just look for the swirl!

Additional Information

Checks Payable to Non-Members: A Service Center serves as an agent of your Credit Union and is unable to cash checks made payable to non-members. Any non-member to whom you have written a check will have to contact your credit union directly to cash it.

Loose Coin: Loose coin is not accepted at all Service Center locations. If the Service Center you go to does not have a change counter, they will only accept rolled coins. Individual Service Centers choose whether they will accept rolled coins or not. There may be a fee associated with this service.

Business Accounts: To conduct transactions on a business account, both the business name and your name must appear on the account.

Courtesy Telephone: Courtesy telephones to contact your credit union are available for you to use during credit union business hours at most locations.

Off-line: When a Service Center's computer system is off-line or the connection to your credit union is unavailable, cash back on deposits or withdrawals cannot be processed. Deposits with no cash back are the only transactions that may be accepted.

You can expect to pay a nominal fee on the following items at any Service Center:

  • Official (Teller) Checks
  • Gift Cards
  • Stop Payments on Official (Teller) Checks
